Close the door and deep green, warm wood and soft light turn 26 square metres into a private world. The colour palette draws its inspiration from the century-old trees in the courtyard, beneath which the old wooden house follows its own quiet rhythm.

The table is a proper place to work, eat or spend a quiet evening. Kitchen, storage and laundry have been fitted into the compact home so that everything useful is close and in its place.

The bathroom continues the green story in its own way. Natural sandstone, a chrome rain shower and the lively green surface of handmade Moroccan zellige tiles create something rarely found in a small city home.

The home is at its best for one guest who values atmosphere over space. For two, the home feels compact.
