Time seems to move a little more slowly on Kakola hill. The granite buildings, sheltered courtyards and rocky landscape of the prison founded here in 1853 have found a new life, while the unhurried spirit and distinct character of the place remain.

Kakolan Torni is an understated, executive-level home and a respectful interpretation of the area's history. Rather than recreating the past, the interior carries its sense of dignity through natural stone, marble, brass, wood and warm neutral tones. There is room to gather in the living area and around the dining table, and two bedrooms for privacy.
