At Sofiankatu, the bed is deliberately the centre of the home. The permanent 160 cm BoConcept bed is always ready, and good sleep has not been made to fit around the rest of the room. Room-darkening curtains, dedicated reading lights and dimmable lighting make it easy to slow down.

The same sense of calm continues from floor to ceiling. Earthy shades, soft textiles and dark wood draw the studio together. Black-patinated bronze light switches are small, jewel-like details – the kind you notice only when you come closer.

Within 30 square metres, different moments of the day still have their own place. The kitchen is made for real cooking, the round table works for meals or work, and the sofa offers somewhere to settle in the evening. Port Arthur's wooden-house streets, Kakola, the river and the centre begin nearby, while the atmosphere at home remains calm and private.
